Exhausted.
Hello all. I am still here…just in case you were wondering. Exhausted, but still here. This past Friday night Matt took me to Maggiano’s for a wonderful Italian dinner (my favorite), and then we came home and plopped on the couch to watch our latest Netflix rental The Sentinel–not too bad of a movie. On Saturday I woke up at 6:20 a.m. and got ready to head to Woodbury for the day in order to help my in-laws move into the house they just built. By about 4:00 p.m. I was worn out, but Mom’s birthday was coming up on Sunday so we went to their house (about 10 minutes down the road) to give her the birthday gift we had gotten her in Alaska. Mom and Dad asked us to go to the church’s fish fry with them and, since I didn’t plan on cooking, we went. We finally made it home around 9:00 p.m. (I think). On Sunday we got up and went to church. After church, I came home and did laundry because on Monday Matt left at 8:00 a.m. for an audit in Austin, TX. I worked Monday and then Mom and I went to see Hairspray at the movie theater (If you like musicals and movies that make you laugh you should go check it out). On Tuesday I went to Wal-Mart after work. Yesterday, my friend Sarah Beth came over to keep me company for a couple of hours. (Poor thing was so tired from working nights at Vanderbilt she fell asleep on my couch!) I didn’t get much sleep this weekend and I am not sleeping good with Matt being out of town all week thus the title of this post–EXHAUSTED! I’m ready to take a nap and I am definitely ready for Matt to be home…which he will be…tomorrow. On that note, “Tomorrow! Tomorrow! It’s only a DAY AAAAWAAAAAAAAAY.”
Oh yeah…I almost forgot! Matt got a promotion Friday! Yeah!!! He is now a Senior Computer Information Systems Auditor for HCA. I am so proud! 
PARTY!
As I mentioned in a previous post, mine and Matt’s nephew, Ty, turns 2 on July 17. This weekend we attended his “Diego” themed (from the cartoon “Dora the Explorer”) birthday party. Matt and I got there around 3:30 (the party was due to start around 5:30 or 6:00) and there sat Ty–eating a cupcake. He was adorable with cake all over his face and immediately wanted out of his highchair when he saw us walk in. He and I went outside to play for a while until his mom made him come in because it was so hot outside–his cheeks were so red!
Ty has started acting shy. Now when he sees someone unfamiliar he lays his head on your shoulder or hides behind your legs. Due to that fact, he cuddled with me some yesterday–something he hasn’t done since he has gotten big enough to run around! Speaking of running around…trying to keep up with the boy will just flat out wear you out. We had a great time though…even if I was pooped by the time the day was up!
Still trying to avoid posting pictures of Ty on the internet, I will not be putting any pictures of his face on this site just yet. I have included a slide show of some of the decorations and pictures of Ty’s back. There is also a really good shot of Matt and his sister Kathy. Enjoy!
